SelectionChanged event & BandObjectLib

I notice that there is a 'SelectionChanged' event raised by an IPluginServer implementation. I also noticed that QTTabBar makes use of BandObjectLib. I'm also using BandObjectLib but can't work out where a 'SelectionChanged' event is raised from (i.e. which object in the BandObject raises this event and what is it called).
Can any kind soul point me in the right direction?
