how to change shortcut to create new tabs?

hi,
I've recently installed qttabbar and i think it's really really helpful in many ways but somehow new tabs just open when I press shift and doubleclick on a folder. Given the natural behaviour of shift, this could lead often to opening 10 tabs or more at once… I just want to change the shortcut to "strg+doubleclick" but can't figure out how?!
could you please help me?
