hi, I regularly use shift to select more than one item. for example, click an icon, hold shift, then click another icon. what that does (without this toolbar) is, it highlights the next item I selected. however, with the toolbar, if I click one item then shift + click another item, it highlights a whole row of everything between those two icons. is there some way to disable this? if not, I can almost consider this a bug.

however, I do like the highlighing a whole row, but I would rather it be shift + right click to do that. I'm already very use to the shift + left click, and I do not want to get use to any other way, because I prefer staying use to what most computers have by default.

thats the function of shift key to select files
use ctrl key to select the files you want

By default, for Windows, it is shift + click.

No, by default it is CTRL-Click to select individual items, SHIFT-Click is for a range selection

no, it's not. I've been using this feature for years.
currently, since I reinstalled WinXP, I don't have any QuizoApps installed, and it works as expected.

Shift + Click selects a whole range of items
Ctrl + Click selects individual items

It must be hard living with keyboard dyslexia.
