I love this program, and I've been looking for something like it for years. Unfortunately there's one problem.

The program TaskbarShuffle has a great function that lets you close windows/apps by middle-clicking on their button in the taskbar.

Ever since I installed QTTabBar, however, this function hasn't worked. It can still close applications (outlook, firefox, etc) but windows seem to ignore it.

I messed around with QTTB's settings, but didn't have any luck. I really hope there's a way to fix this, because I love both programs, and wouldn't want to give one up for the sake of the other.

Weird. You should take that up with the author of Taskbar Shuffle as I believe previous versions worked fine. At least I didn't notice any problems. But you're right about the current 2.5 version. It closes anything on the taskbar except for explorer windows.

Thanks for the reply. I had only installed QTTB after installing TBS 2.5, so I can't confirm whether it's a new issue or not (edit: just tried TBS 2.2, still having issue). Just made a post in the program's support forums, it sounds like there's a middle click conflict with a few other specific programs too. Hope it gets fixed soon!
