When I click a new folder it does not add a new tab it only replaces the previous folder tab. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times. I have tried different settings and cannot get multiple tabs to appear like in the screenshot. What do I have to do? From reading the forum, it seems no one else had this problem. I am running Vista.
I am also having this problem.
The earlier version worked, even though new folders would try to open in their own window, as you could see the new window appear, but then qttabbar would "catch" them and place them in a tab with the currently opened folder.
Now after updating to this version (1.2.2.1) I see the tabs, but everything opens in its own folder.
I uninstalled the latest version and tried installing the 3 previous versions. Each time I had the same problem, a new window opened and the tab for that window replaced the one for the previous folder. I can have muliple windows open at the same time and only the last window open will have it's tab showing, none of the other window tabs are up there.
I have the same problem with the new version.

So I need to: Right click on the toolbar and select "Merge tabs of other windows" to get what I want, all folders tabbed in one window.
This is kinda anoying for me, so… If someone knows and If it's not a bug in this version, please tell me how to "fix" it..

I have the same problem. I'm new to this product and was hoping it was a setup issue. I'm running Vista 64. The only difference in my environment is that selecting "Merge tabs of other windows" does absolutely nothing.
I can get a new tap by clicking a mouse (middle) wheel on any folder.
But for me (and most of people), double-click is more preferable.
Ok this is how you do it. In Windows Explorer go to tools and scroll down to folder options, then tick "open each folder in it's own window". Then to qt options: under the window tab just un-tick the option "do not capture window as a new tab when opened from outside". That should do it. Hope it works for you.
Using the instructions above works to create a tab when you click on a folder but it is still a bug that needs to be fixed because after clicking the folder you then have to go up and click the tab to actually open that folder. Ideally the folder should open when clicked and the tab should appear.
Ok not a bug follow the other instructions and add to that go to QT options general tab and tick "Capture mouse X1/X2 buttons".
