How To Open New Blank Tab In IE6?
Anonymous (69.232.206.x) 1203532855|%e %b %Y, %H:%M %Z|agohover

Hope this isn't the dumbest question ever but… I've installed QTTabBar on my XP machine. Installation went smoothly, all permissions are enabled, tab bar and tool bar are visible but I can't figure out how to open a new blank tab in IE6. Could someone please advice the procedure?

Thanks,
-Mike

Hello Mike,

It´s not possible to create tabs in IE6. The QT Tabbar ist only for the windows explorer.

By the way: You are still using IE6? Update to IE7. IE7 is the follower of IE6 and has tabs. So update or better: use opera or firefox :-)

Or if you must have IE, get Maxthon2 as a front end. It really blows away the IE interface, even the IE7 tabbed GUI. Plus it adds some great features of both Firefox and Opera.

"Go back" behaviour

Hi,
I recently installed the QTTabBar App and first of all, congratulations: I think it has a lot of potential to improve the current MS explorer.
However I had trouble with a very specific feature and its ruining me the whole experience. Let me explain you. I use very often the "go back" button to come back to the folder I was browsing previously. I use it instead of "go one directory up" because it will work both for real folders and links to folders. However after installing QTTabBar it has a behavior that is very anti-intuitive to me. I have tried to disable it but I couldn't find my way through the Options menu. Is it possible to do it?
Otherwise, I think it would be great to add this option. What do you think?

Anyway, thanks a lot for the great work and for sharing it for free,
MarC
