I have winRAR, and it used to display an option when I right-clicked on a file, allowing me to select multiple files, and extract each to a seperate folder. Same goes for other filetypes. It seems I have lost all of my custom right-click menus?

I doubt this has anything to do with Quizo's apps. You'd be better off searching for information on restoring lost explorer integration.
Have you installed any other programs that add functionality to your context menu?
I'm not sure how I would go about resoring "lost explorer integration", but I did re-install winRar, and made sure it was associated with the context menus. Can someone else please check this for me? Install winRar, make sure the context menus are associated and you have a right-click menu option for unzipping files, then install the QTTabBar program. Also, please make sure you test this with Vista. I think we can figure it out right there. How would I uninstall the QTTabBar program?
Run the installer again and choose uninstall.
Open WinRAR, go to options, integration tab, and set your context menu items.
Yup, that's what I do, and it's still not there. I'm running Vista x64 if that makes a difference. I've noticed shell extensions sometimes don't work like they did with Vista x32, but WinRAR has always worked until I installed QTTabBar. I really like the tab functionality though… so I'm still up in the air if I should live with not being able to batch unzip items…
I'd really appreciate if a developer could test this on a Vista x64 machine, it might be possible that it's a simple fix?
exactly the same problem here…. winrar context menus disapeared, and it is a major problem for me…
maybe it's because the x64 vista needs minor tweaks in registry for 32bit dlls to work as shellex? (64bit explorer cannot call directly 32bits shellex hadlers, i guess)?
It is only yesterday that i finally found a solution for my disappeared "TextPad" editor menu in x64, and now this… seems that with x64 i spend most of time googling around to fix broken things :(
was not loged in for my previous post about winrar…
well, turned out that the winrar is indeed using 64bit shellex dll, but by defalut incorrectly registered for vista x64 (or it got lost underway, my vista got through torture - bsod, lost registry… it somehow self-healed this time. :))
simply merge this to registry and voila! (check installation path 1st, of course). this guid is valid only for winrar x64 dll.
i googled out the solution at http://extended64.com/blogs/rhoffman/archive/2005/06/05/705.aspx after i found the guid in registry, pointing to nonexistant places.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{B41DB860-64E4-11D2-9906-E49FADC173CA}]
@="WinRAR"
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{B41DB860-64E4-11D2-9906-E49FADC173CA}\InProcServer32]
@="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\WinRAR\\rarext64.dll"
"ThreadingModel"="Apartment"
okay, this trick hasn't survived the reboot. there is something with the virtual registry store in play or other black magic, because the key doesn't exist, when i create it, it suddently has all the values it previously had. going to msdn, i wanted to check this out anyhow…
any pointers on net? i am tired from googling today :)
I just found a solution. I couldn't figure out the WinRar fix, however I did find a good alternative that is essentially the same workflow. Install Squeez http://www.speedproject.de/enu/squeez/index.html and because it's native to x64 it will give you all the correct contex menus as winRAR used to. Unfortunately it's $40 USD, but worth it in my opinion.
