What is the purpose of the Folder Memo plugin, and how should I use it?
It pops up a small "post-it" style note when you open any directory you assigned it to. It's a way of reminding yourself of tasks that may be associated with those directories. One thing makes it inconvenient though, that closing it doesn't delete the memo. Having to select the text of the memo and delete it is a bit awkward and unintuitive.
There's also a freeware note program called Stickies (quite awesome) that does this using window name recognition. With Stickies you can assign reminders to pop up anywhere: when a tab is opened in Firefox to a certain site or page, when opening a program, or just like Quizo's plugin, a window in explorer.
Ahh, but how do you use it? I searched the old manual, the unfinished new manual, and the files included in the plugin download but I cannot find any instructions except to say that it runs in the background and does not have a button. I can't figure out how to access the function for writing a memo and assigning it to a folder?
i have exactly the same question…. how do i use it?

Re: "I can't figure out how to access the function for writing a memo and assigning it to a folder?"
After d/l the 'Memo' plugin from QuizoApps 'Plugin' page…
Unzip
Read QTMemolang.txt (open w/Notebook)
Copy exactly selected lang text shown below(as also shown in 'QTMemolang.txt' file) in bold into new Notebook window:
<QuizoPlugins.Memo>
Show / hide folder memo
Show if exists
Show always
Stop
</QuizoPlugins.Memo>
Save to memo.dll folder location as QTMemolang.xml (be sure to save as '.xml' file)
Open Windows Explorer
Open 'Options' (right click blank spot on QT Tab Standard Buttons Bar)
Select 'Plugins' tab
Click '+' and browse to saved downloaded 'Memo.dll' file, click 'open'
Click on newly added 'Memo for Folder' (or 'Folder Memo' sub folder),
Browse to 'QTMemolang.xml' Plugin language file, open
Click 'Apply', 'Ok'
Memo Plugin in now installed in QTTabBar (note: there is no 'Memo' button)
Rightclick on any Windows Explorer tab and select 'Show / hide folder memo'
A blank popup text memo window appears.
Write what you want…(note right click of selected text allows options: color/default font/copy/paste/etc)
Done. Now when you open that tab, the memo auto appears. (no text = no popup window)
Note: the text that is added to each Memo window is saved in a memo.dat file in C:\Documents & Settings\UserName\Application Data\Quizo\QTTabBar\1.0.9\memo.dat
If uninstalling Memo Plugin, remember to delete the .dat file in your cleanup.
I can't find another options such as
Show if exists
Show always
Stop
Could someone help me? Thanks in advance!
I found the the options such as
Show if exists
Show always
Stop.
Options->Plugins->Memo for folder->Folder Memo, Select the Folder Memo and then "Plugin Option"(left top on this page) will be available. Hit "Plugin Option" and then the "Plugin Option" will be appeared. Now you may change the plugin option.
:-))
The memo plugin doesn't work for me - followed instructions - can't load files in options/plugins - stays blank?
