How does "create and install native images" work?

Since the new version there is a new feature: creates and installs native images.
How does ist work? I can´t see a difference.
My Windows explorer needs 10-15 seconds to start after i start Windows. After the first explorer start it starts normal whit 1-2 seconds. That´s so since i installed the TabBar. (i use it since version 1.1.0.1). I thought this feature would speed up my explorer start…
