How do you install plugins so they load every time?

I downloaded the QTFileTools plugin so that I could get delete, copy, and move on the toolbar next to the UP button (since Vista removed ALL OF THESE!).

My problem is, I don't understand where I am supposed to be copying the QTFileTools.dll file so that it loads with the program. I tried copying this to Windows\System32 but once I open a new Explorer window, the plugin seems to be missing.

How do I do this???

Put plugins anywhere you want. Go to options and on the plugins tab click that + button. Then browse to the place you extracted the DLL files to. I put mine it a Quizo folder. :)

excellent, so i have now added the plugins, and i can assign shortcuts to them. but how do i get them to appear? say for the filetools plugins, should they not appear as icons, or have i misunderstood?

ahuh…
if you right click on some of the existing icons and then select customise you can add in the new icons.. :P

Anonymous (67.85.0.203) says right. I also advice the same behavior.
FileTools buttons disappear when closing the window. Please do something! Plugins are the main reason i keep this bar on.

I think this is the same question that I have.

I add the Tabs to Windows Explorer and close Explorer. When I reopen Explorer the Tabs are gone. I can open them again by going to Recently Closed, but I have to do that every time I open Windows Explorer. I'm sure this in not how it was designed.

How do I allow the Tabs to come up every time I open Windows Exploere?

I have the same trouble - Vista x63 Ultimate and, everytime I open Windows Explorer, the buttons for QTFileTools.dll are greyed-out. Click on a file or two and, those tools are still grey. They don't work. So, if I click on a file, I cannot click on the tool to move or copy the file.

I'm not clear on the instructions in the prior posts - none of them seem to ensure that, when I close and reopen Win Explorer, those plugin tools will be available for my use.
