I have bug at vista.
when i open folder at xp, tab appears in the same moment. And i like it.
But at vista i have bug. When i open folder, new window appears for second. Then it disappears and new tab opens.
Or may be it isn`t bug?

by design, I have to say.
I’ve been looking for a way to fix it, still in vain.
Window appears after QTTabBar is attached to Explorer on XP,
but before on Vista I think…
The problem occurs when explorer window is opened by applications,
by start menu or by desktop icon. If you enable the "Desktop tool" (taskbar toolbar),
double clicking desktop icon would not cause the problem.
Another way is to check an option "Do not capture window as a new tab when opened from outside"
in Option -> Window.

In 1.2, I am having a problem that tabs are not activated when clicked the 1st time.
The tab maybe activated immediately when just created, but after a few click between tabs, some tabs may require 2 clicks to be activated

Exception in Vista when trying to view options.

After installing QTTabbar, it sort of worked, but different things would cause exceptions. For example, I could not edit the options. I dug deep into it, and found that your ATLWrapper class gathers the Vista user folders (e.g. My Documents, My Pictures, etc.). If any of them are configured incorrectly (which is pretty easy to do) then the path is null, and your ToLower() call fails.
I fixed my installation by tracking down that my Downloads folder was pointed to an incorrect path. After fixing this in the registry, the QTTabs exception went away. More specifically, I fixed the values in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\User Shell Folders.

Web Browser History gets all confused when QT Tab bar is added. Using BACK KEY in the Web Browser leads to frames instead of web page. Real confusing. I'm not that familiar with QT TAB and looking at the options did not give me clue at what to change there to make it work right.
The reason I like to use it in Web Browser is that it lets me lock open web pages.

Hi Quizo, first big thanx for make this amazing app.
I found this bug:
I open 2 folders located in a dvd, In this case J:\cooler & J:\mint (could be any others, J:\ is the dvd-rom)
If I try to jump from 1 folder/tab to another I get this message and then the folders are closed.
This only happen when one or both folders are in a dvd.
No problem to manage tabs/folder located in my HD.
I'm using v1.2.1.3, I use QTTaBar since v1.0.18 and I don't remember see this bug before.

Hello Quizo. I'd reported this by email a couple months ago. I reported the same thing with QT Address Bar and that got fixed. I guess you didn't get the email or just forgot about it.
As previously in QT Address Bar, QT Tab Bar doesn't show folders with the system attribute set.

Hi, I have noticed that the mouse move slower with the qttab. I explain it: If I am at firefox or gaim, my mouse move normal, but when I am at the explorer, its slower. Any fix?

slow even on local folder not on network folder?
some options like thumbnails, sub folder tip, alternate color might cause such a thing.
( mouse doesn't move slower on my XP and Vista, though. )
can i ask you your machine spec?
have you installed other shell extensions such as mouse gesture?

is slower in both local and network folder. I always use stroke it! as mouse gesture, but it is a program, not a shell extension, and only when I install qtbar the mouse gone slower.
My machine is an Athlon 64 X2 3800+, 1gb ddr400, gigabyte k8nfl4 (nforce4 chipset), geforce 7900GS, sata hard drivers…

I found this bug, it happens when i turn on "Capture new Explorer processes" and turn off "Do not capture window as a new tab when opened from outside".
I like a lot that option in and in ver 1.1.0.1 that bug did not hapen.
Whaaaaaaaaay….? Without that bug it be perfect app for me.

It's a great program. I found a bug in window vista, when I open a new window, and then I open another window, normally it will replace the new window by a tab in the previous window. Instead, it just add a new tab in the previous window and open a new cliche window. There is no such problem with the old version 1.1.01.
Anyway it's a nice program, I love it.

I've noticed a bug with Groups. When the menu is called from the taskbar I see the deleted link. It doesn't show when called from a window. I think it has something to do with the entry still being there, but the folder has been deleted. Deleting the entry from the options menu removes it from the Taskbar menu also.

Also, when adding something new to the group, it shows up in the window menu right away, but not on the taskbar menu. After checking the options menu and pressing 'OK', the link is visible in the taskbar menu.

My Explorer (Vista Business 32-Bit) sometimes crashes while opening a folder.
I get a "CLR20r3" Error type and it's also listing "System.Windows.forms" and "System.ObjectDisposedException" in the problem event list.

Desktop Tool Crashes verclsid.exe

When I load the Desktop Tool, I get a crash error in verclsid.exe and the toolbar doesn't load.
The workaround is to just rename verclsid.exe to verclsid.exe.bak and then the toolbar loads just fine.
Edit: I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit with a 64-bit processor.

I find some issue in the 1.2 version, when you have a tab with the close button active and the double click over the background of the tabs is associated with open a new tab in a path specified, then if you have one tab open and double click over the background to open a new tab y your mouse is near the close button of the new tab, then this tab is closed an the view area of the previous opened tab is replaced with the content of the closed tab, but if you watch the history of that tab the path of the closed tab is not in the list.
I hope this can be reproduce again in your environment.

In 1.2, when changing quickly between tabs by mouse click, tabs are not activated on 1st click
there seems to be a delay or time threshold between tab clicks
If I wait for a secound or 2, tabs are activated on click immediately

Maybe not so much a bug, but an annoyance. When right clicking on a folder icon at the top of my screen, the menu draws on top of the tab when it should probably drop down instead.

Uninstalling 1.20 version and re-installing the 1.1.0 one, all come back working fun.
Any idea to resolve this issue?

Thanks for the great programs!
Here are some bugs/gliches/annoying stuff I found:
QTTabBar
When search is pressed and the search is open already, the search window does not get closed
Full row selection in details view - Does not work good (Enable and switch to Tiles, select files - glitch. Then close tab, open same folder, switch to details - does not work!)
If option "New tab location" is Right, groups load in reverse order
QTAddressBar (I know it's QTTabBar's forum, but there seems to be no forum for QTAddressBar)
Ctrl/Shift + Insert (Copy/paste, Ctrl + C/V alternatives)
