QTaddressbar stopped working

QTaddressbar stopped working

Recently I've noticed that QTaddressbar no longer appears in my Windows Explorer (Windows XP sp3) and is only available as a shaded item in the Windows View>Toolbars.

I've tried uninstalling it, logging off and reinstalling then relogging off/on but no change.

Any idea why its shaded and not working?

OK, I got it working.

I ran IE8 (I don't use it. But I like to keep the security updates complete) and discovered that its View>Toolbars allowed me to select QTaddressbar for use. I guess when I updated from IE7 to IE8 Windows disabled it.

Once I did this, I found it became available in Windows Explorer.

So I'm happy!

IE8 may have disabled QT TabBar. I found that solution on QT TabBar's Source Forge forum, but in German…
So: Control Panel / Internet Options / Programs / Manage add-ons ; then enable QT TabBar… (Toolbars and Extensions + All add-ons).

I meant to say that this is a solution if Stuart's doesn't work. So one should try his solution first.
