Toolbars in Windows Explorer but NOT in IE

I am having an issue that I can't find a solution to.

Previously I had QT Tab bar and Breadcrumbs working just fine in Windows Explorer. I had to reinstall it. Now, the only way I can have it in Windows Explorer is if I have it enabled in IE. I DO NOT want the toolbars in IE, just in Windows Explorer. What am I missing? How can I get it back to the way it was?

If I disable it in IE, it is greyed out in Windows Explorer.

Any ideas?

I've never had that problem. Disable QTTabBar from Explorer (right click menu) and close the explorer window. Open IE and uncheck the QTTabBar from the right click menu (this will disable QTTabBar everywhere). Close IE and reopen it. Open Manage Add-Ons from the Tools menu and enable QTTabBar. If you open an Explorer window you should be able to enable it and not have it enabled in IE.

I'm an user of QTTab since 2007.
Sign in to thanks the developers and, also, to ask for the same as tmoca.
Is there a solution for only have the bars into Windows Explorer but not on IE8 (Vista 32 bits)?
