Problem with IE7 / groups

I downloaded version 1.2.2.1 from this website, as well as QT Breadcrumbs Address Bar. If I then go into IE7 and right click on the tool-bars, I have the option to enable the QT Tab bar. (Standard Buttons cannot be enabled - nothing is shown, same with breadcrumb toolbar) When I enable iQT Tabs in IE7, and then create groups in Win Explorer which contain web pages, when they load they create havoc (esp. sites heavy with JS and Frames). Among other things it asks me if I want to close all the tabs (Before anything is really loaded). It seams to first load everything to the IE7 tabs, then QT Tabs attempt to close them and open new tabs with the same location. Some times I find a tab open in QT Tabs which have been opened in this way with some odd HTML file like "NoHover.htm" or whatever. (?) Below I have copied another error I get when a particular URL is too long for QT Tabs to handle it properly. I think until these issues are addressed, users of IE7 are better off not activating the QT Tab toolbar, and not setting up groups which contain web content. I think I like and prefer all the options that QT Tabs offer me in Windows explorer, and I would like the same or similar ability when browsing in IE7. I don't know if underneat it all, maybe IE and Windows Explorer are really the same engine, and cannot have toolbars added in one without the other. If you can build it, I would really like to see your take on tabbed browsing for IE. I think M$ missed the boat on that design (FF does it better than M$), and I think this would be a natural next-step for you to also extend internet browsing usability and options.

qttabbar and sp1

Do I have to remove qttabbar before installing SP1 (vista) or can I just install SP1 and leave qttabbar on. If I have to uninstall, could someone point me to the uninstall instructions? Will qttabbar work with SP1 on my computer? I have version 1.2.2.1. Please advise how to put SP1 on Vista and keep qttabbar functionality. It's a great tool!

Hey, I was wondering if it's possible to change the theme of the AddressBar just like with TabBar. I want to get rid of the glassy blue Vista stuff, and a new set of refresh/go buttons would be nice.

hey, well i installed this utility because vista explorer was the only reason i had installed vista ultimate on my pc since i dislike vista but im VERY dependable on its search feature so yea.

my problem is that QTTabar ain't working, i thought it would simply install, then restart and when i open a folder it runs, but nah i dont know what the problem is, i just installed this version of xp called "alien spiiti", it comes loaded with a lot of stuff and its really smooth so i dont wanna get rid of it, please help me determine why QTTabar is not working on my pc.

I'm using Hebrew version of windows xp and the tabs merge to the left instead of the right and the subfoldertip arrow is far from my folders icons and I can only use the subfoldertip on the middle folders. Please help me.
BTW in the hebrew xp everything is right to left including the file and start menu.

Thanks for the nice program, it's probably the best add-on to windows file explorer.
If possible I'd like to ask for a small option.
In the previous versions, when I opened a new tab, each tab had "its own" settings so that I was able to see a folder in closed state in one tab and opened in the other folder. better to explain, in one tab I was able to see :
-Dir1
-Dir2
……….Dir2 contents
……….Dir2 contents
……….Dir2 contents
-Dir3

and in the other "new opened" tab:
-Dir1
-Dir2
-Dir3 [closed state]

It was much easier to use this way, as I have lots of folders

However since the last updates, if a folder is open, its state is transfered to the new tabs, and managing the folders gets a bit difficult.
I scanned all the choices for an option like "keep/retain folder states" but I was not able to find it.

Is it possible [at least as an option] to do something like this in the upcoming version ?

Open all Control Panel Items in New Window

Is this possible, I have it set to open the main Control Panel in a new window but I would like other CP stuff to open in a new window as well.

Such as Control Panel\System and Maintenance\Windows Update and Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Personalization

when I try to enter them using the above paths it will not let me.

Is there a way select manually which buttons text are displayed?
Could i use specific syntax in a xml file so i can hide the text at the right side of the button
but still show text when i move the mouse over it?

multiple rows of tabs switching

When you have multiple rows of tabs is there a way to stop them switching round depending on which tab you open. I thought I managed to stop this (some how) but it started again. Any suggestions?

Hi there,

The first thing i would like to say is that i find it a great app an it makes the windows explorer behave kind of like a webbrouwser, wich i find a cool interface. I also added mouse gestures using AmazingBrass. But now for my question:

What is the full name of the application QTTabBar? is that the full name? you see, I'm building a software database with free software that i like. the database is for personal use only, and i would like to enter the full name of the application. I searched the site but i could't find it. im sorry if i'm asking something obvious.

Would enyone please answer my question?
