I have tested Ultra Explorer, Directory Opus, and XYPlorer. Right now I like XYPlorer. It is lightweight, fast, and stable. I would probably purchase a license for this software. UltraExplorer has crashed a couple of times and Dir Opus seems overly complicated. In fact, XYPlorer seems faster than Windows Explorer, especially with QTTabBar menus present. Additionally, XYPlorer has a neat feature called stickys for individual item selection, equivalent to explorer's checkboxes, and I cannot find an equivalent for UltraExplorer.

You may want to try Ultraexplorer
http://www.mustangpeak.net/ultraexplorer.html

it's an explorer alternative, free, has tabs and work fine in Seven.

But I still prefer QTtabbar much more as it's an explorer's add-on. Haven't found anything similar

After checking Quizo's website and forum for several months it seems that the English beta of QTTabBar as well as a Win7 compatible version may not be released. Does anybody recommend any viable alternatives (paid or freeware, explorer add-ons or replacements) that are being actively developed?
Thanks in advance!
