I've tried UltraExplorer, but I can't stand that it doesn't use the explorer overlays (SVN) or the Explorer context menu. I use it for simple file browsing/copying, but when doing development, I have to have multiple explorer windows open.

No doubt that QTtabBar has some compatibility issues with Win7 and if people are reporting system instability and crashes, that's enough for me to stay way from this program. I have tried the trail version of Directory Opus and am very impressed. Although a bit expensive, it's the most customizable file manager I have ever seen. Try it out.

Yes, but barely. Very buggy. Crashes or throws .NET exceptions explorer often. Tabs show up with no title.

This software is a brilliant idea; that is to extend the current explorer via a new toolbar. Its really unfortunate the software appears to not be under active development. Jan09 is way too old to consider its being worked on.

Seems like others would have done this by now as well. Anyone know of anything (not really interested in the explorer replacements.

and as an idea the time needed for you to return the tab more than the time you use to do the job of opening the explorer

example: if I open the explorer to copy a file to my flash memory
this will takes less time than returning the tab

so I still prefer the XYplorer as I show in my post
